My interpretation of the classic bowie. Light and nimble with an amazing hamon!
8 1/2" blade, 13 3/4" overall length.
3/16" 1084 high carbon steel with hamon and etched
Heat treated in an Evenheat kiln to 59-60 RCH.
Heat treatment included 3 normalizing cycles and 2 tempering cycles for fine grain.
Blade hand sanded to 800 grit
Guard: etched 1084
Handle: Stabilized walnut in herringbone pattern. Walnut frame. Other options available.
Comes with Hand made leather sheath and specification sheet. Sheath has a retaining strap and generally faced with Ostrich leather (shown with snake skin inlay)
